Strategic Alliances

Markit RAC is working hand-in-hand with Markit, the world’s leading financial information services company, to develop a carbon registry to support Costa Rica’s ambitious national goal of attaining carbon neutrality by the year 2021. The project also will serve as a model for carbon registries in developing countries worldwide.

CR-USA Foundation RAC advises the Costa Rica - USA Foundation for Cooperation, an international grant-making foundation based in San José, Costa Rica, on its environmental and sustainable development strategy.

IFOK - Meister Consultants Group RAC is the Latin American partner of the Boston–based Meister Consulting Group and its German parent company, IFOK. These prize-winning organizations specialize in promoting dialogue and participation to arrive at sustainable solutions, particularly in the area of renewable energy. A special focus of the partnership is developing strategies to adapt to the effects of climate change in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Titi Conservation Alliance The Titi Conservation Alliance is a group of businesses and local organizations that works to protect the endangered Titi (squirrel) Monkey through conservation of the area surrounding Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica. RAC is working closely with the alliance to expand their programs to include management of watersheds and drinking water supplies, wastewater and other environmental protection programs.

National University of Costa Rica RAC and the School of Environmental Management at Costa Rica’s National University are collaborating in providing opportunities for students to work on environmental projects as well as in a two-way exchange of information regarding best practices and technology in the field of environmental management.
